Scheduling Appointments and Payment Information

MidWestVET accepts new patients by referral from your primary care veterinarian. After you and your veterinarian decide to seek specialty care for your pet at MidWestVET, please call 402.614.9000 to schedule an appointment. Please be prepared to give us your veterinarian's name and phone number so that we can contact them regarding your pet's care.

You will receive a written treatment plan with estimate at the time of your pet's initial examination at MidWestVET. A deposit of 60% of the estimate is required at the time of admission with the remainder due at discharge. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Referral Form

Your Veterinarian may send a referral form with you or fax it to us for your records. Please bring lab work, x-rays, or medical records with you that pertain to your pet’s problem.

Fasting

Please withhold food from your pet after 10:00pm the night before the appointment. Access to water is acceptable. This will allow us to do diagnostic or therapeutic procedures the specialist recommends.

Appointment Time

Our specialists take a detailed history, including a review of the medical records your primary care veterinarian sends, and thoroughly exam each patient. Your visit to MidWestVET will last about 60 minutes.
